If there’s one makeup lesson you don’t want to learn the hard way, it’s this:
Always, always, always use cosmetic grade glitter.
Just because it’s glitter, doesn’t always mean you can use it on your eyes! If you want to use glitter around your eyes (or really anywhere on your face!) you have to make sure that somewhere on the label it says “cosmetic grade” in order to be sure that your eyes are safe.
Craft glitters are not made for use on your face and have the potential to seriously cut and damage your eyes. Cosmetic grade glitters, however, are made with the glitter’s purpose in mind and are ophthalmologist approved.
I hope all of you will take it upon yourselves to educate your friends about glitter and keep this warning in mind as Halloween approaches!
