Beauty Advice: K-Pop Star

Hi everyone,

As many of you might know, I absolutely love everything about K-Pop. The music, the vibes, the makeup, the fashion… I thought I’d share with you some K-Pop makeup and style tips to help you rock this look in honor of my new tutorial on how to look like a K-Pop star:

K-Pop stars are known for their sexy cat eyes, so it’s important that your eyeliner is very, very black. The more intense it is the better because the liner is the focal point of the entire look! You don’t want to wear bright or intense eye shadow colors. If you want a touch more glamour to add to the eyeliner, glitter is your best friend. BB cream works well for K-Pop stars because they are all about perfect skin, and this product works very well to create a flawless face. They prefer bright looking skin with little to no dimension, so you’ll want to skip blush, highlighter, and contouring. Brows should be full but with minimal arch. This will make you look more youthful. Avoid dark lipsticks and or ones that have glitter or a pearl texture. The lipstick should either have a matte, glossy, or satin finish–again, think youth!

When it comes to K-Pop fashion, it’s all about the accessories and edginess. For my tutorial, I went with a glitzy look, but you can also wear black. If you do wear black, look for tops with interesting cut-outs. Remember, keep it family friendly–no low cut tops! Crazy jackets are great to wear when dressing as a K-Pop star. Look for something metallic and shiny. When it comes to hair, think straight locks, and if you want an edgier feel, rock the bangs.
