Colored mascara is a fun and exciting way to spice up a makeup routine that has become lackluster. But if Technicolor lashes take you out of your comfort zone and you’re looking for a more subdued way to transform your lashes, I would suggest trying mascaras in more earthy tones.
Mascara in deep greens, navies, and aubergines add extra dimension to the eye area without being flashy. If you use colored mascara in these shades, your eye makeup will, for the most part, look about the same from a distance. But when you get up close, anyone looking at you will notice that there is just a little something special about your eyes.

Makeup For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara in Green
Green mascara works best on hazel or brown eyes.
Purple mascara works best on blue and brown eyes. It will make the blue pop and will bring out the gold in the brown.
Blue mascara works well with all eye colors. It will make blue eyes appear more blue, make brown eyes seem more golden, and bring out the green in hazel eyes. Navy mascara in particular will make you look more awake, no matter what color your eyes are.
When using colored mascaras, avoid matching the color of your lashes to your eye shadow. Otherwise, it will all blend together. Create a little bit of contrast in the eye area by using neutral colors, but add a fun lip color that complements your lashes.
The best part about colored mascaras is how well they accentuate eye color. Take the time to stand in front of the mirror and really examine your irises. You’ll notice that there are gradations in color and even flecks of different colors. By using colored mascara, you can accentuate the beautiful hodgepodge that is your eye.
