Hi everyone,
For years people have shied away from using oil in their beauty regimens. Not long ago, the idea of putting oil in your hair seemed preposterous—but then argan oil exploded on to the beauty scene and turned us all into believers. Yet many of us are still scared to try face oil. If your skin is looking for a boost, face oil (also referred to as beauty oil) could be the answer.
The plant, fruit and nut oils that are found in beauty oils are naturally hydrating and very nourishing to the skin. They revive, heal and balance skin cells, which results in that radiant glow we all strive for.

People often think that oily skin and face oil don’t mix. But using products that are too drying can actually cause the skin to secrete more oil. Another misconception is that oils do not absorb well. But beauty oils are lightweight and absorb quite easily.

- Nude ProGenius Treatment Oil
- Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil
- Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil
- Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil
It’s really just personal preference whether you prefer cream or oil moisturizer. Sometimes I find that the heavy creams that most of us turn to in the winter, sit on top of skin rather delivering moisture where it’s needed. If your cream moisturizer just isn’t cutting it anymore, maybe it’s time to trade it in for an oil.
Have you ever used beauty oil? Let me know your thoughts on this product in the comments section!

I have dry skin that gets really oily if I'm not nice to it so I started looking for more natural ways to clear up my acne. I started cleansing and moisturizing with organic virgin coconut oil (from Trader Joes) a couple weeks ago and the difference in my skin is amazing. My skin tone is even, my acne is healing, and I feel really hydrated. I put oil everywhere now! -
I have never tried this before, but I really want to. I have dry skin and feel that it might work miracles!

I have very oily, blemish-prone skin, but I've been using the Josie Maran argan oil and it's wonderful. My skin feels hydrated and balanced, and is no longer excessively oily. I would definitely recommend this to someone who wants to try a facial oil! -
I have had slightly oily skin for a few years now and have always been worried to try an oil as a moisturizer- it just didn't seem to make sense (why put oil on oil???) For the year of 2013 I made it one of my goals to really put an emphasis on trying new things-luckily in my first "glam bag" from Ipsy we received a sample of argan oil, so I gave it a try and bought another large bottle online! I love the stuff, it has no scent, and while it is a bit to oily for me in the morning I use it as a daily night moisturizer and rub a bit through my hair to really give it a treat. -
I have oily skin and I've been using the emu oil on my face since the start of the year. Since then, my skin feels smooth and supple. Sometimes I mix rosehip oil with emu oil before applying it to my face though it feels heavier the effect on my skin is very surprising since my acne scars are fast disappearing and the early signs of wrinkles were becoming less noticeable day-by-day. I recommend to use the rosehip oil only at night for those people with oily skin since it feels heavy. I tried using it during the day and I end up having a cakey face with my foundation and concealers on. -
I've found that sometimes putting oil on oily skin can actually balance the pH, because sometimes the reason skin is oily is because the sebaceous glands are overcompensating dryness!

I have been using HUMAN Heart Nature's Sunflower Beauty Oil. Its very good to the skin, edible, affordable and it moisturizes the skin without making it oily. :) -
I use Jose Maran's 100% Argan Oil every day. Its my miracle product. I also use Jojoba Oil & Aloe Vera as a makeup remover. I use Neutrogena body oil after I shower. I'm a big believer in using oils to hydrate your body. -

i'm currently using Andalou Naturals omega glow oil "fruit stem cell science" it renews repairs and regenerates your skin. if you're a fist time user of beauty oils it feels uncomfortable. but sooner or later you'll get used to it and youll love it than other nourishing products. now andalou naturals combines argan oil and omega glow :) -
I love beauty oils! I've used both oils and moisturizers, and am currently looking for the best oil for my face type. I'm currently trialing Marula, Nude and Seaberry. I've tried Seaberry and Argan in the past, as well as Maracuja. I have nothing bad to say about any of them, I just didn't give them long enough to work....simply going back to traditional moisturizers for some reason. Now I'm determined to give it long enough to find just the right one for me. I love all of them, so this is a hard journey! Price is of course a deterrent. Some are more costly than others, and have a noticeable smell, some quite pleasant or medicinal, but nothing I've found obnoxious. My skin leans toward oily, having American-Indian heritage...but they seem to work great. Definitely a try for all! -
I personally use 2 parts olive oil and 1 part castor oil on my face every night before bed. I just massage it into my skin and then take a hot towel and"steam" it off. I have acne prone skin and this has made my skin look radiant. Everything I've ever used before never worked! I have recommended using oil to all my friends and family. I will never go back. -
I'm curious about how to use facial oils. I read something saying that you should use them over, rather than under, your moisturiser. Can you shed some light? Thanks!-
Facial oils have no spf so it would be good to use a face oil first, then a spf which can be moisturizing as well depending on what you buy. You really don't need to use both an oil and a moisturizer unless you want to. The facial oil replaces a moisturizer. If you need more, you can add a drop or two more for hydration. -
If you decide to try an oil, put 2 - 3 drops on your fingers, close handed, then spread it around with your other fingers, patting it on your face and neck, adding more if needed. Serums and oils absorb into the skin quicker than moisturizers!

I use argan oil/rose hip oil to hydrate my skin and it works really well! They are organic too, so I'm sure that I'm not absorbing chemicals! :) -
Bio Oil! You can use it on your face or your body! I normally use Aveeno's Positively Radiant Daily Face Moisturizer (which is also amazing), but ever since I added Bio Oil into my daily routine, my skin has improved a lot! I use Bio Oil on my super dry t-zone, and aveeno on the rest of my face. -

I've been careful not to use products that are really drying. I'm already a grease ball, and I've used oily lotions before...ew. So bad. Not sure I'm gonna try it. -
I have used the Tarte Maracuja Oil, and I like it. My 16-year-old daughter uses it when her face gets really dry due to her using proactive. It works wonders on her and does not break her out; and she has oily skin. -

I have fallen in love with argan oil, it's amazing, and balanced my combination skin out. I can't live with it, and my rosebud salve! -
When i found out about Argan oil i purchased it straight away. When i started using it, it made my skin very soft but i started to get spots with sebum n white heads (which i never had before). Then i stopped using argan oil n started using bio oil which did me wonders. It gave me soft and hydrated skin i stopped getting spots and white heads, it reduced the marks on my face and evened out my skin tone. I think not every beauty oil is suitible for all skin type, so be careful for what u buy.
