Hi everyone,
Concealer is one of the most essential beauty products out there. It does everything from hiding flaws like blemishes and raccoon eyes, to drawing attention to your eyes and cheekbones (contouring). It also comes in many forms (liquid, powder, stick) and colors! So for today's blog, I wanted to go over which color of concealer works best for you and your beauty needs.

Benefit Lemon Aid Color Correcting Eyelid Primer
NARS Duo Concealer in Vanilla/Honey
Nyx Concealer Jar in Yellow
Yellow concealers are great for evening out skin tone and giving an overall bright, refreshed look. Yellow corrector is great to use as a base for eye shadow or to highlight brow and cheekbones!

Nyx Concealer Jar in Green
Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer
Physicians Formula Powder Finish Concealer Stick
Green concealers and correctors are great for neutralizing red tones. Green is opposite from red on the color wheel and essentially cancels out any area on your face that is rosier than you'd like (blemishes, rosacea, scars).

Trish McEvoy Eye Brightener in Shell
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Bisque
Benefit Erase Paste Brightening Camouflage For Eyes & Face
Pink concealers are the perfect brightening agent and help hide signs of fatigue. Just like green is opposite red on the color wheel, pink is opposite bluish-green hues and therefore hides raccoon eyes and perks up sallow olive looking skin. Dab pink concealer on your under-eyes as well as the inner corners to look well rested and radiant!
Do you use colorful concealer? How do you apply it?
<3 Mish

ELF Cosmetics makes this studio 'zit-zapping' concealer pen in Green. I dab it on acne because it not only conceals redness, it gives a concentrated dose of salicytic acid to treat the acne.
Benefit erase paste is super concentrated! A little goes a long way and if you use sterile technique to apply it (meaning no adding bacteria from your hands to it!) it can last a whole year. I do not use it every day. I use it strictly for emergencies when nothing else I own can provide coverage. If Its a very bad pimple I dab on the green concealer pen first to neutralize the redness and treat then cover with erase paste. Erase paste is kind of waxy I would say and is better to blend with clean fingers compared to a concealer brush. -

I have redness all over my cheeks, so always look for a good green concealer that covers, but not too cakey, and doesn't break my bank. I have used Smashbox and Makeup Forever. Both failed to cover. Then I used Physician Formula concealer stick, and it really worked! Best thing? They are cheap! Thanks Michelle for your recommendation!

Green is great for me! Nice, educational post. Michelle, is there a good palette that has all those colors together, like Hard Candy's Nobody's Perfect Palette?

this is really very helpful Mish! I've always tried the regular concealer and most of the time there are no changes, or there would only be minimal changes that regular concealers do to my dark circles. so now I will really try to buy some colorful concealers and check if they'll work for me!

I use yellow and pink concealer. But I do want to go and try a green one as there are days when I have lots of reddness in my skin.

Form me green concealer is a life saver! I've got really bad rosacea on my cheeks and sides of the nose, so I basically never leave the house without green concealer. On the rest of my face I use a flesh-colored concealer. It brightens and evens out my complexion and it more or less hides my dark circles as well. I could never live without my concealers^^

when in an emergency you could use matte green e/s as concealer :)

Thanks Michelle! I never used colorful concealers, but after reading that, I can't wait to try the green and pink concealers ^^
By the way, if you have time, go and take a look on my jewelry website. It's all made with .925 sterling silver and most of them presented with gemstones. http://www.emcé.com/

I use Conceal Rxâ„¢ Physicians Strength Concealer because I have acne spots and let me tell you it's magic... I got it from Wal-Mart for a really really small price so I thought "Why not?" and tried it then loved it!
I put the teeniest amount on a pimple or acne scar then put foundation over it. BAM it's gone and time to go out.
