Hi everyone,
Have you ever used a mixing palette ring? Mixing palette rings–like the ones shown above–are not just cute accessories; they're pretty handy tools!
Just like a painter uses a palette to mix and blend his colors before the brush hits the canvas, makeup artists use mixing palettes as a way to customize and perfect a color or formula before putting it on the skin. You can blend pretty much anything on a good mixing palette – lip colors, foundations, DIY illuminators, whatever you want! (Click here to see how I used one to make tinted moisturizer in my Beach Beauty tutorial.) Mixing palette rings are simply a more convenient and transportable version of this tool. :)
Whatever size mixing palette you decide to use, you want to make sure that it's flat, smooth, and can be easily cleaned. A fine, smooth surface will allow you to mix your products more thoroughly for a nice, even blend. It's also extremely important to make sure that you really clean your palette after each use. Any left over product or germs will just contaminate your next concoction... You wouldn't prepare your food on a dirty counter, and you shouldn't mix your makeup on a dirty palette!
Do you ever use a mixing palette? Tell me how in the comments!

i find it very handy!!! persay you are somewhere and you notice a mix up in your foundation, and you dont have your usual makeup/foundation palet for foundationn, but you find thiis handy ring in your purse, and instead of using it on the back of your hand, (that is proably FULL of germs) you can mix and mix, and just wash it off when your done using it, wether it is lipgloss/foundation/paint(for nails) you can literatly use it for ANYTHNG!!
