Hi everyone,
If you thought that pumpkins were best left for carving and making pies, think again. Pumpkin can actually work wonders for your skin because it’s rich in enzymes and vitamins. Luckily, this fruit can help all skin-types too! The fruit enzymes help to get rid of dry, flaky skin, Vitamin A hydrates, soothes, and softens it, and Vitamin C reduces damage caused by free radicals. For those of you with oily or acne-prone skin, take note that pumpkin contains torulitine, which consists of Vitamins E and T and fights acne. To reap the beauty benefits, try this DIY pumpkin face mask. You’ll be sporting smooth, soft skin in no time!

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of pureed, freshly cooked, or canned pumpkin
- 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 1/3 cup of ground almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil

Instructions:
- Stir 2 cups of the pumpkin.
- Add 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 4 tablespoons of honey, 1/3 cup of ground almonds, and ¼ teaspoon of olive oil
- Mix all of the ingredients together, and apply to clean, damp skin
- Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes. The enzymes in the pumpkin are most active when moist, so you might want to get in the tub (perhaps with some essential oils!) while you pamper your skin.
- Wipe your face clean with a washcloth.

You’ll likely have some of the mixture leftover, so cover it, put it in the fridge, and use the rest within a week.
Do you have any DIY face masks that you make at home? Let me know in the comments section—I’m on the hunt for a new one!

Would raw pumpkin work as well?
I also love to use the enzyme power of papaya - eat the papaya, and layer the peels with the insides onto your skin. Elemis actually has a papaya enzyme peel in their range, this is just a much fresher, cheaper version :-) -
A really good DIY mask is by mixing a combination of Extra Virgin olive oil and castor oil. If you have more dry skin I'd use 1 part castor oil to every 3 parts olive oil; if you have normal or oily skin I'd use 1 part castor oil to every 2 parts olive oil. Shake or mix together and apply to your face. Then soak a wash cloth in water as hot as you can stand and let that sit on your face until it cools, then wipe your face with it. This mask will help to open up and unclog your pores, draw impurities out of the skin, and help to hydrate your skin. -

Hola!
The new is a great time to freshen up yourself and your wardrobe! Being a fashion enthusiast, I formed a list of some new fashion trends that I wanted to try for the New Year. Kind of like New Year's Resolutions but not as serious...Back on topic, one of the goals for this year was to be bold and daring, make my clothing say fun and confident! And that's why I wanted o share this pic from H&M that I thought was the perfect example for the daring and statement style that I'm going for this year. And hopefully, along the way I inspire some of you to get out of your comfort zone, that's were fashion really starts!

If your looking for a mask suggestion try this out, http://www.amazon.com/Bentonite-Clay-Montmorillinite-Starwest-Botanicals/dp/B002DXZIOU/ref=sr_1_5?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1357763915&sr=1-5&keywords=bentonite+clay
Mix two tbs of this with tbs with yogurt, and 1 tbs of honey, It also makes it a little easier to put on if you add a little bit of water to the mix. It takes 1-2 applications for you to really see a difference, I use it once a week and my pores are healthy and I haven't seen a zit ever since I started using it. I also suggest using Organic honey and yogurt as non organic products tend to have nasty preservatives and other things that will be harmful to your skin if you use them.
As for the Pumpkin mask that is an excellent idea, I just made some so i'm going to try it out now! -
I'd love to try that but I have no idea where to get a pumpkin.
Greetings from Finland! <3

I really like the idea of this pumpkin mask, and I have all of the ingredients right in my cabinet. The other DIY AT HOME mask that I like to do is the EGG White Mask....
Can you put up a tutorial about a pore cleansing mask? I really need that!
