Hi everyone,
Choosing the right frames can change your entire face, but finding eyeglass frames that fit your shape and proportions isn't always easy.
The perfect pair of glasses will depend on a few things. You want to find a complimentary balance between your facial features and the shape/size of your frames, so think opposites; if you have soft curves and few angles, you'll want to add definition with angular glass frames, and if you have strong or prominent features, you're going to want to try on frames that are soft and rounded.
It's really all about finding a nice balance, so here are some tips for matching the right frame shapes with your facial features. Even if your face shape doesn't fit perfectly into one of these categories below, find the closest match and experiment!

Top to bottom: Warby Parker, Ray Ban, Prada
Round – Rectangular frames will help to sharpen the soft curves of a rounded face. Frames with sharp angles will also help to lengthen the face and a clear bridge will widen the eyes. Try to pick frames that are more horizontal than vertical, and avoid anything too circular or oval.

Top to bottom: Ray Ban, Ralph Lauren, Warby Parker
Square – Round or oval eyeglass frames will soften and add contrast to strong facial features. A cat-eye will help to contour, and subtle rimless frames with really soft edges will add contrast to otherwise prominent features. If you choose a pair with a forgiving upper edge, it will help divert attention from a strong jaw line.

Top to bottom: Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, Coach
Heart – This one is a bit tricky, but a little experimentation will help you find the perfect fit. Have fun with variety and try to find balance by avoiding frames that are too top heavy with decoration and width. You want a clean, simple temple along the sides as well. Something airy and rimless will lighten up wider portions, or butterfly and cat eye frames would work well, too.

Top to bottom: Takumi, Burberry, Juicy
Oval – The balanced proportions of an oval face make it a shape that works well with most frames. A good rule of thumb is to find a pair that is as wide as the broadest part of your face, or try walnut-shaped frames that aren't too narrow. Just make sure to stay away from frames that are too large for your facial features, especially if yours are on the smaller side.
Regardless of your face shape, something you should always check when trying on a pair of glasses is where the center falls: your eyes should always be centered in the frame with the temples level. Whether you wear glasses daily or only for necessary occasions, I hope these tips help you find the perfect frames that will make you feel comfortable and beautiful. Good luck!

ive been blind as a bat for as long as i can remember. i dont really know what my face shape is (sorry even with the pictures i just cant tell lol) but ive always leaned towards glasses that stick out. i figure if they're something that i have to wear 24/7, then i should enjoy them and have fun with them. i hate boring shapes and colors. i like something that makes my face pop! i got these glasses in may and they've really been the highlight of my summer!! i get compliments allll the time! the person that helped me pick them out says they give me *happy eyes* and i agree! they're also good for my eyes because i got transitions, basically sunscreen for my eyes =p
ahh im sorry i cant figure out how to attach a picture, but here is a link to the frames! if someone can tell me how to add a picture that would be great =] (i got black/transparent)

Thanks! I have an oval-shaped face and I have a pair that are pretty similar in shape to the first pair in the oval shaped one, but I really love the Juicy Coture ones on the bottom!

I'll keep this in mind, but I have so much trouble figuring out my face type. I think oval, but I'm not really sure.

I have a problem. I wear glasses since I was 10, now I'm 22, but all my life my lashes have collided with the glass of my glasses (LOL) and even when I curled my lashes the problem persists. So, what I do is using my glasses a little bit lower, but I don't like this much... I mean, I love my long lashes, but they just don't look their best all against the glass, and it's hard to see sometimes.
Does this happen to anyone else? What do u do to get rid of this annoying sensation? Please Help!
Michelle you look cool with glasses!
