You've probably heard about Pura Vida Bracelets before. Maybe you've even seen the chic, colorful bands on the wrists of celebrities, models, or your friends. They lend that perfect flair to any occasion, whether it's a movie premiere or a day at the beach.
But Pura Vida is more than a hot accessory; it's a way to give back. For every bracelet sold, Pura Vida donates 1% back to The Surfrider Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving beaches and oceans worldwide.
You can also buy specific bracelets to support the armed forces or your own favorite charities. There are over 25 styles/causes to choose from, from Breast Cancer Awareness to the U.S. Marine Corps. Talk about an easy resolution for 2012. Help the world and look trendy.
Hand made in Costa Rica by the area's finest artisans, Pura Vida bracelets represent living life to the fullest and are meant to be a celebration of each day as a gift. If you share this principle, show it with a couple bracelets... or three, or four. They're meant to be worn together. And at a price point of just around $5.00 to $12.00, personal expression doesn't have to come at a major cost!
These beauties are sold at over 700 stores across the US, including Nordstrom and Kitson, but you can get yours online at 20% off just by being a MichellePhan.com reader. Head over to PuraVidaBracelets.com today and use code NEWYEAR20 to kick off your New Year's resolution. Hurry, this offer ends tomorrow, 1/5, at 11:59PM PST.
Live 2012 to the fullest! Happy New Year!

I bought 4. Three were for charitys very close to my heart, that are fighting to heal the scars of so many peoples lives, including mine. It is a fantastic cause, even if it is just 1%. The more who buy these bracelets, the bigger the outcome. The four i bought were: Ovarian Cancer Awareness, Thyroid Cancer Awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, Shining Brite. I ordered them about a week ago, so am hoping they shall come soon!

Bought four for my family in the mainland! just received them today... they are great for gifts! posted my pics with pure vida on my Facebook!

1% is pretty stingy, especially given the low pricing.....if it was closer to 10% it would be more enticing - still only 50c from the cheapest product!

Definitely buying some... :) they're beautiful. They have a bracelet that supports the anxiety disorder I struggle with. I'm definitely excited about buying these. Thank you Michelle for sharing this site! :)

In other words what they're telling you is that they keep all the profit. 1% isn't a lot at all. I can't stand it when people say they're doing something for charity and they're really not. I understand needing to make a living, but 1%? Really? That's so selfish!

just ordered 4:) they look really beautiful, a stunning asset to costa ricas already colourful culture and biodiversity=D and, although a small donation, i know i have helped the world a little:)

i guess every little helps, but knowing that just 1% of $5.00 is going to charity does not make me feel happy that i am helping others. at the end of the day i am donating 5p.:/ will prob buy but donate money to a charity as extra. thanks for the post michelle, i love you!!
