Hi everyone,
Zombies, ghosts, vampires, monsters, and more! If you're dressing up as something that involves special effect makeup, it can be overwhelming to find the right product to create the look you're going for. There are so many different brands available that all claim to be the best out there. It's time to set the record straight. Your best bet is to turn toward stage makeup because the pigment is so vivid, and the products have to create realistic looking results.
Check out these sneak peek photos of my Zombie Barbie tutorial where I use special effects makeup:

Here are a few different examples of great special effects makeup from the movies to inspire you:
And now for my guide to the best special effects makeup out there...
The Best Fake Blood – Ben Nye Stage Fake Blood Effects
Ben Nye's stage fake blood looks very realistic in terms of color and congealing (yuck!), and it's also safe to use your mouth. Bonus: it tastes like peppermint!
The Best White Cream Face Makeup – Graftobian Clown White Cream
If you're dressing up as a clown, zombie, or vampire and need a pure white face, this cream make up will give you the solid pigmentation you need to create the look.
The Best Temporary Hair Dye – Ben Nye Liquid Hair Colors
These temporary liquid hair dyes look very natural and won't flake, unlike the spray products, which make your hair stiff.
Have you ever done special effects makeup for Halloween using any of these products? Share links to your photos in the comments section!

With the zombie tutorial and using the tissue like in your video, I tried it with all of my friends on Halloween (by the way we looked amazing thanks to you!)but when we tried taking it off, it really really hurt. I recommend not using this on any place with hair like your arm. It hurts really bad. We used oily makeup remover to take it off and luckily it worked. -
I cant remember what I used to make my face all white. It was years ago...

I was just gonna be hello kitty. But the costume is just a little red dress with short sleeves, and a picture of hello kitty on the shirt part. It's so cute!!! :p -
Oh my gosh, when I first came onto this page the only thing that would load was the cute little Barbie pic on top. I looked away while I waited for it to load, and then when I looked back I saw that zombie face and gruesome neck bite and I jumped out of my seat!!! You scared me Mish!
