Must vs. Lust: Wedge Sneakers
Hi everyone,
Did you guys notice the wedge sneakers trend that was big this past year? I love this type of shoe!
Wedge sneakers are the epitome of downtown cool plus a dash of Parisian chic à la Isabel Marant. It’s like having the comfort of Converses with the stylishness of ankle boots. You could pair them with a dress for a relaxed girlie look and with dark skinny jeans and an army jacket to give off a distinctly edgy vibe. No matter what outfit you wear, you’ll look casual cool. Who doesn’t love that?! The quintessential high-end version of the wedge sneaker comes from Parisian designer Isabel Marant, priced at around $725. But there are several more affordable versions out there too, like Ash at a more reasonable $195.

I both like them and think they're a bit weird. Maybe because they remind me of the shoes we wore in the late 90's.
But I'd like to have a pair because they look casual and comfy and I'm very short so I need a bit of heel :P
Maybe I should go buy a pair in black when spring's here if they don't go too out of fashion :P -
I'm thinking of getting a pair, but I guess it's a bit expensive. And I don't like seeing everyone (plus me) wearing them. HAHA!

Well, I love this kind of shoe for many reasons but for one in special. Probably you will laugh but around 4 years ago I go to a shoe store and find out what seems and amazing pair of modifified sport shoes. They're all silver and kind of have heels! Anyone knows exactly what kind of shoes were they but yet I fall in love for them and take them home.
Well, they were sneakers! ;)
Everytime I wear them in this past 4 years everyone look at them saying how beautifull they look and how odd they were.
Now, my sneakers are top 10 in the stylish shoes.
Sometimes I look at them and I imagine them like in a cartoon, walking in a red carpet with dark sunglasses and a celebrity smile. -

I really like them......I was talking to my cousin about them because I saw a pair at target and she said that they look like an orthopedic brace that you would wear if you broke your foot. -
Love this kind of shoe, but I need to stock up on new wardrobe items that would go with them :) If anyone is interested, makemechic.com has tons of different wedge sneaker styles and options to choose from between 15 and 40 dollars. I know that's where I'll get mine! ;) -

Love this trend and this sneakers with wedges in them are so comfortable and can turn any casual look chic its gives it an edge. I have two pairs from Dorothy Perkins when I went to London this summer but the website also has them and ships to the US -
Oh my gosh I've been lusting after these for ages. Must? I don't think I need shoes that are only for show, but the ones I want look just like my sneakers so a little switcheroo every once in a while is great. Plus they look awesome. So my style :)

They are very cute but I think they defeat the whole purpose of sneakers being comfortable. Before you know it there might not be any normal sneakers left. I would have to try some on to see how they feel...they are cute though :D.

omg! i really want a pair of wedge sneakers! there was a super fab pair of then at JCP and they were just the perfect size for me too! but i wasn't able to get them and i regret it everyday. it was even on clearance( because of that, i cant get them anymore) :(

Although this is a fun and cool trend, I think is going to be out very soon. I'm not a big fan of it, but who knows! Maybe I will end up wearing wedge sneakers.

Must :) cool jeans and a nice top for a Sunday arvo best sort of relaxation.
Personally found that the cheaper no brand sneakers still work as well compared to the expensive pairs....
Should do a POST on comparing expensive to cheaper versions of items/products review would be interesting to see...

Paired with the right outfit, they look really good. Also, I love that it seems so comfortable while giving you height with the wedge. I don't think I can pull it off though. -
