Hi everyone,
I am so excited to announce a new blog series on MichellePhan.com: Product Review. If you’re looking for the pros and cons of a certain beauty or skincare product, then this is for you! I love experimenting and trying out new products and brands. Sometimes it feels like I’m always on the hunt for something different and exciting, so I want to share my discoveries with all of you, my wonderful subbies! :)
For the inaugural post, we’ll be looking at two different cleansing foam face washes. Foaming face washes are formulated to remove impurities, oil, and residual makeup. If you’re looking for something to achieve a truly deep clean (aren’t we all?!), then a face wash formulated to foam might be for you. Before you go out to make any purchases, here are a few reviews to point you in the right direction:
3 Lab Perfect Cleansing Foam - $50
Pros:
- It's great for all skin types and works well as a morning cleanser
- The face wash has exfoliating beads that contain Vitamin E
- It smells good :)
- This product lathers up to a true foam, leaving the face feeling very clean and soft
Cons:
- It's a bit pricy at $50
- The cap got a little loose after a couple of uses, so the packaging could be better constructed
Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam - $10-$20
Pros:
- This product reduce pore size and number of blackheads
- It smells great
- A small amount of product goes a long way
Cons:
- The product's website is a bit confusing, as there is no site or store when trying to purchase from the U.S. The only option is the global site, but there are several websites for Asian countries
- The packaging is in Korean only, so the ingredients are not easily identifiable unless you speak the language
Which kind of skincare or beauty products do you want me to review next time? Let me know in the comments section!
<3 Mish

Products not tested on animals !!! It seems you don't give a shit to the atrocities beauty business inflict without scruples to Mother Nature... -
Please review Laneige moisturizer and Missha two-way-cake pressed powder. All are korean products. Thank you Mish <3 -

OMG Etude House! I totally love this brand... Been using their products for a year now and they're realy nice... and small so good. *-*
Well, for everyone's information: There's a store that sells many cosmetics from Korea, they are called rose shop or rubyrubyshop on Ebay. I always buy my products from them, and they are GREAT.
Michelle, please, would you talk about Skin79 and Skin Food?? They are two Korean brands and very good ones. Skin food uses natural "food" ingredients in their cosmetics, so I just think it's so like you because of your tips for homemade masks etc. And Skin79 uses a lot of new technologies with natural ingredients too... ♥ -
Thank you. Please review products about face brightening, spot eraser and acne care in next time (^^) -
Could you review different brands of BB cream/tinted moisturizer? I want to try it but i'm not sure which kind is the best.
Thanks!! -

Oh.. I am living in Korea.
If it's safe, I can buy Korean cosmetics instead of some of you and send it without any my(?) fee.(can handle 5people?). But I dont know How to do in safe. I always want to buy american goods such as in black friday or big sale in amazon, so I feel you, so I want to be a volunteer girl lol. but I don't want to be doubtful when I'm doing this in good mind.. If some bank or web site kept the money, It would be clear. -
please do reviews on BB CREAMS and SUNSCREENS! would love to know your opinions on pros and cons, and best products. too many out there to know about! -
Lancome's Dewy Mist! It's a new product for their Spring 2013 collection. I've been wanting to try out a facial mist for some time, and since I use Lancome for my daily skin regiment, I thought I'd give this a chance. Do a review of it please! :D -
OMG! That 3Lab cleanser is very expensive!
Foams are very nice products to clean your face because they make it feel so soft...But here in my country, everything is too expensive u.u so I clean my face with a thick creamy make-up remover, then I wash my face with baby soap and finally, I apply a moisturizing cream from Nivea. That way I can achieve the softness of a foam cleanser hehehe =) -
my favourite cleanser is the liz earle cleanse and polish, it's amazing! HTTP://CLOUDSANDCUTICLEOIL.BLOGSPOT.CO.UK/ xx -
please keep the review coming!
I tried that facial wash from Etude (a sample) but after a day or 2, there were some small whitehead-like blemishes that appeared. I had to stop it right away. maybe not for me.

I'd get the Etude House Baking Powder one if I had to choose. The other one is waaay to expensive for something that isn't even 5 oz. I love Origins Checks and Balances. Talk about a great foaming cleanser! I've been using that for years and it still works great. -
@TSCHIEMBER France - Mish may not do reviews on all the products you like that are crualty free, but she does a lot of DIY's that use natural products and of course are crualty free and eco friendly. And she just started reviewing products, so cut her some slack. -
Hi Michelle, please review bb cream products, anykinds of foundation or concealer. Can't wait for ur next review ^_^ -
Hi Mish, can u plz do some reviews of products on treating acne? Or even any make-up tutorials on acne face? It would be lovely. :D -
In my opinion, you can review anything from Paula's Choice.
Try their chemical exfoliants (aka AHA & BHA). Once you tried it, you don't want to cut it out of your routine :) -
It's a pity and a shame you never talk about beauty products eco friendly and NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS !Hey Mish! Wake up and keep your eyes and mind wide open. It's realy time to care of Mother Nature even it's not too much late! -
I was actually thinking of purchasing the baking powder cleanser. Thank you for doing a review on it :D
