Hi everyone,
Cold cream is one of those legendary beauty products that you always hear about but may not have ever used. It's available at drug stores and beauty supply shops for a very low price, and it's actually a great product to keep in your bathroom because there are so many ways to use it. Stories abound of older women with perfect, youthful looking skin that claim they use nothing on their face but cold cream. I can't guarantee that cold cream will give you perfect skin, but here are my five favorite ways to use it:
- Eye makeup remover: Scoop out a grape-sized amount of cold cream and using your fingers rub it in a circular motion over your eye. Then use a washcloth or a cotton ball and wipe the cold cream off. Your eyes will be squeaky clean, and there won't be any product residue!
- Face wash: Apply a liberal amount of cold cream on your face, massage it into the skin, and then wipe it off with a dry or warm washcloth. Rinse your face with warm water, and then pat it dry.
- Facemask: Cover your face in a thin layer of cold cream, and then let it sit for five to seven minutes. Sit back, relax, and read a magazine for a few minutes. Then use a washcloth (dry or damp based on your preference) to wipe the cold cream off, rinse your face with warm water, and wash your face as you normally would.
- Skin Softener: Rub a small amount of cold cream onto your knees, elbows, heels, or any other spot of skin that needs some serious moisture. This is a great alternative to using Aquaphor, Vaseline, or other petroleum jelly-based products.
- Sunburn soother: Apply cold cream over the affected area, using about half the amount you'd use if it were a regular lotion or cream.
How do you use cold cream? Tell me in the comments section – I'm always curious to see what this product does for people!

I use it every-night before I go to sleep, but I also apply it as a lip balm, and as an eye cream to moisturize my eye area.
Funny tip : I also use it after my hair removal ! It prevents redness, especially on the face, but i also remove some the glue if there's still some and you don't have one of those "oily wipes" anymore. -
Cold cream is the only thing that will take off the most stubborn, waterproof makeup available. I like to use it more for my eyes, and if I'm wearing Halloween makeup, I used it to slather it off. Pond's Original and Cucumber Cold Cream works great. Avon recently started selling their version of Cold Cream and it works very well too. -

Honestly, I've never used cold cream in my life. But I would like to try cold cream when I saw your post. =) Anyway, thanks for the sharing, Miss Michelle. =)

Ponds is great. Used to leave on as night cream, it has anti-aging effects and seems to help people with acne issues!

I use cold cream each and every day for removing my makeup. I absolutely LOVE it! I was introduced to it in my first stage makeup class in college, and I have used it ever since! :) My favorite brand is Pond's...it's low cost, it's a great product, and you can find it pretty much everywhere!

The main use (as advertised by the producers, at least) is makeup removal. In fact, my cold cream names itself as a makeup remover.
I believe cold cream was a lot more popular back before the numerous modern make-up removers, such as the remover pads and wipes and such. I personally inherited my cold cream from my mother :) -
Hmm never heard of cold cream, is there another name for it?
