Hi everyone,
Wherever I am, no matter what city or country, I always keep my eyes peeled for beautiful messy buns. Even though a bun may appear unkempt and have the feeling of being thrown up at the last minute, there really is an art to it. What I love about this particular hairstyle is that everyone has their own style, tricks, and methods to achieving that beautifully disheveled look. The eyes may be the window to the soul, but it’s the messy bun that sends a message to the world about who you are and what your style is. And the best part is that this timelessly chic hairstyle is super versatile—whether you’re going for an elegant or casual look, the messy bun will morph itself to fit the outfit.
Check out these messy buns for some hairspiration:

i wear a messy topknot everyday to skl, and people always say that they're glad that finally there's somebody who doesn't overdose on bobby pins and hairspray -

It's hard for me to pull off a messy bun with my curly hair. If it isn't wet and styled with product, it comes out frizzy and uneven (and not in a cute chic way just in a yuck way). It usually takes me a few tries to get one that looks decent. -
I love wearing buns! They are fun, easy, and cute. When you put your hair up it gives you an automatic face lift lol. I always look prettier it seems with my hair up in a high bun. http://www.roros-world.com -

A messy bun on this gurl, good luck with that! When I style my hair in a messy bun, it doesn't look chic like other people wearing it, on me it just looks...messy -

my favourite looks is the bun!
Check out my recent post on mhyk.blogspot.com.au to see my hair bun that I created with a hair donut!
Dont forget to follow too! :) -
A really easy way to get a messy bun is to use a hairagami. It's one of those "As Seen On TV" things, but it actually works. I use it for a neat bun for dance, or a sexy messy bun on no-makeup days. It looks most similar to the first picture, with the blonde girl. It's great for those with super layered hair, or if you have slippery asian hair, although it does look cooler (and stays better) on day two hair. -

i love messy buns, i see girls wearing them all the time and i'm always so envious of how they get theirs to stay up and not fall down! HTTP://CLOUDSANDCUTICLEOIL.BLOGSPOT.CO.UK/ xx -
I am in LOVE with this hairstyle. Unfortunately, my hair is slightly too short to be able to pull it off properly... Oh well, in time, I'll be able to rock this style too! -

I totally agree! the messy bun tells a tale of it's won. personally, I curl a few stray hairs and spritz them with some hairspray. Sometimes i find it hardest to make my bun messy, which is exactly why my messy bun suits me- messy in a neat way!

I love having a sort of an edgy look to my hair, so I spike it or do something like this! This is so so cute and it goes with anything! Whenever I do a messy bun, I put my hair up with chopsticks. It is so cute! -
You can't really tell in this pic, but the bun is messy.

My hair is naturally really textured, so my buns usually look a lot more detailed! I was playing a video game (I get really into them) and so my hair has... quite a lot of pizzaz in these pictures.

First of all, Happy New Year and best wishes to you, Michelle :D
I am a huge fan of messy bun, too :D They are so gorgeous. I have tried doing messy bun at home already, but, every time I try to make it look messy, you know, when I pull a bit of hair out of the bun, a bunch of others come of unwanted. Urgggg :P Practice make perfect :)
I just found this girl on Youtube, she is a very amazing young makeup artist, she reminds me a lot about you :D Her name is Emma Pickles.
This is a link to a tutorial created by her:

I LOVE the look of messy buns but I've never been able to achieve one! I sure would love a tutorial on it Mish! ;) -
I love messy buns! But when I try to do one my mom says that I look too mature so I'm not allowed to do up-dos. Maybe a couple more years! :) -
