Hi everyone,
My absolute favorite look for cold weather is to pair a warm sweater with smokey eyes. Go against the grain by combining the ultra-feminine and the casual. I love that you can look sexy but feel so comfortable at the same time!

JCrew Collection Cashmere Tee ($148)

Mango's Knitted Sweater With Angora ($59.99)

TopShop's Knitted Button Cable Jumper ($90)
There are so many different ways to rock this look. I personally love wearing a big, soft, light-colored sweater with a dark, dramatic smoky eye–the juxtaposition is so fun! If you like a softer smoky eye, try wearing it with a black, navy, or chocolate brown sweater. Classic sweaters like cable-knits or Fair Isles look great with the glamorous eye makeup. It adds a fun and strong dose of mod to the preppy look! Pair a sweater with smokey eyes for a date, dinner friends, or just to go get coffee! Depending on how dramatic you go with the smokey eye, you can determine whether the look is more appropriate for the day or night.
To master the smokey eye, check out my tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

Very cool ways to convert a plain old sweater into a stylish outfit

I did that during my senior year in high school throughout the winter. It was just too cold not to wear a sweater or bulky coat, and the only way to balance out the casual look was to have very dramatic make-up.
Still love the look! It's so cute!

I got a green sweater from H&M, it's so grunge, I love it! They have other colours in the same style and I'm seriously considering just buying them all!
I love my knits in winter, right now I have one of my husbands on and it's way too big - but it's so thick and cosy so I don't care! The solution is skinny jeans!
Skinny jeans + wet weather = great! I hate having wet ankles thanks to wide-leg trousers or long skirts. And you always look great in knee high boots when you wear skinny jeans :D
I am a sucker for layers too - give me a vest top, a long sleeve, a shirt and a jumper and I'm cosy! :D And don't forget thick over he knee socks! :D
