It’s a New Year and I’m sure a lot of you have made resolutions to eat healthier. Well, I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but I am all for making healthy choices. So for my first food blog of the year, I’d like to dedicate it to the first and most important meal of the day—breakfast!
I used to skip breakfast, but then I found myself unfocused and hungry before lunchtime. Our bodies need fuel to get us going, especially in the mornings. How we start the morning affects the rest of the day—the pitch is in the windup. If you don’t have a problem skipping breakfast, then good job, you’re already ahead of the game.

So what do I eat for breakfast on a typical day? Nothing fancy, just two eggs soft-boiled for 7 minutes. This fills me up and if I need it, I’ll have some black coffee too. Sometimes I’ll even have a little dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao). They say that dark chocolate is good for you. Well, moderation is key, right?

If I’m on the go and don’t have time to boil eggs or make breakfast, I take a handful of almonds and any fruit I have handy (i.e. apple, banana, or dried cranberries). As long as I can get something in my system, my body and mind are in harmony.

Hmm... fruit or cupcake?
Every now and then I do splurge. Yes, I admit it; I’ll have dessert for breakfast! What can I say? I have a sweet tooth! I just have to remind myself that moderation is key.
What are you having for breakfast? You could always try a Sweet Potato Latte.

I usually love to have cereals and fruits for breakfast, but...I have been lately in a rush every morning =.= so I end up eating some bread with a piece of ham or cheese and a glass of juice. But I like to take my time while having breakfast. -

I have grown to love a warm bowl of oatmeal in the morning! It's great since it's fast, easy and nutritious, not to mention that the options are endless for add-ins. This morning I had some dried apricot, dried peach and dried cranberries with cinnamon, almonds, coconut and a little dark chocolate! YUM! -
I always eat breakfast and try to do an english muffin w fat free cream cheese and turkey bacon - yum, my favorite! And lots of coffee!!

I've always heard that not eating breakfast is bad for you, and it's now been linked to obesity! ALWAYS have something for breakfast, preferably something healthy!

Moderation is key, i have read before that we shouldn't stress so much about calories and stuff, the stress 'factor' and all that...hormones or something it produced is bad =|

i think you shouldn't eat 2 eggs every day... it's not good for your health. you should eat 2 eggs per week. and hard boiled...
you want something fast and healthy just eat cereals with no sugar and skim milk.
