Michelle Phan is not a bad person for not commenting on your status update. She is a busy person and this forum is for her fans to communicate, NOT for her to communicate with us. Don't call her a bad person.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your dilemma. I have had acne and acne scarring for 12 years of my life. It's difficult and it definitely takes a toll on my self-esteem. I doubt you have severe acne scarring at your young age. You're 13 years old going through puberty, so perhaps you'll grow out of it eventually. Just remember to continue eating healthy, drink plenty of water, if you wear makeup then make sure it doesn't contain chemicals that will clog your pores. Make sure your concealer/foundation is non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic. Wash your face 1-2 times a day with a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide facial cleanser. Avoid a lot of junk food and try to keep your stress levels low. Exercise is a good way to get rid of toxins in the body and will help to level out your hormones. Maybe you should invest in ProActiv - it's a 3 step face cleaning process that's very popular in the United States. Unfortunately the biggest things that influence acne are hormones and genetics. And you're at the peak of puberty which is going to be an ongoing battle. Just know that you're not alone and EVERYONE experiences acne. Ask your family for advice, ask a doctor for advice. There are plenty of people to help you, including people on here like me. Michelle Phan cannot answer or respond to everybody's posts on here. So do not blame her. You're going to find better advice elsewhere than on this Web site anyway. Do your research and perhaps see a dermatologist. I hope this helps.

Well I know I'm kinda late on this but I'm 13 too and I do have acne scars. I hardly get acne but when I do I have to patience for it. To deal with my acne scars I have been using a cream called Fair and Lovely which I picked up while I was in India. It makes the skin lighter where your scar is and soon enough you won't even believe you had a scar there.

A simple solution that is cheap too, is organic unrefined shea butter. I scar easy and I'm of Germanic and Polish origins and have combo skin. Just use a tiny bit and make sure you let it warm up to an oil in your hands. I've noticed a huge difference in scarring using that for just 3 weeks. Many of my scars aren't noticeable any more unless I KNOW because I'm my own worst critique but when I ask others they are like "What scar? What are you talking about?" I use Healthspec brand off of etsy.com just type in Healthspec into the search bar and you'll find her shop. She's a lovely woman and makes organic and natural products. I recommend her chocolate mint whipped shea butter!
