BEAUTY DARE: Barefaced & Bold!

Hi everyone,

At New York Fashion Week, minimalistic, barefaced beauty consistently graced the runways. There were clean, simple, yet beautiful faces all around. But some of the designers threw in fun, quirky details to up the excitement levels.

Check out the neon lids at Milly – I love how much the color pops with the natural makeup!

This is such an interesting take on the “no make-up” look because it allows women to keep their natural look but add a really exciting element that shakes things up.

At Proenza Schouler, hairstylist Paul Hanlon drew inspiration for the beauty look from Kurt Cobain. The Proenza girl’s quirky detail? Stringy, almost greasy-looking hair. The idea was to make the models’ faces look that much more clean and fresh when paired with the grimy hairstyle. What do you think of the look?

Never one to shy away from bold choices, Marc Jacobs added dark, bushy brows to an otherwise pale face. We’ve seen this eyebrow trend before, but this just takes it to a whole new level!

Whatever interesting feature you decide to add to your barefaced look, it’s guaranteed to accentuate your natural beauty. It may seem bold and may draw attention, but it will also make people step back and look at the whole picture again.

SO, I dare you, my beloved subbies, to choose a quirky, fun, exciting, and daring detail and to incorporate it into your natural beauty look.

What quirky detail will you add to your otherwise barefaced look? Will you take the dare? Post a link to your photos in the comments section!
