Trend Alert: Midi Skirts to Hail in Spring

Spring hasn’t sprung quite yet, but I’m ready for winter to wash away and sunny days with warm weather to engulf the country. It seems a bit weird thinking that part of the time I’m wearing my spring favorites in Los Angeles and the rest of the time I’m bundled up in puffy coats in New York. But, no matter the coast, I find a midi skirt to always be appropriate – they can be worn with a casual top for the perfect warm weather look or paired with my coziest sweater and fitted trench on cold days that need a bit of a mood lift. They’re also on trend right now and I’ve been swooning over the prettiest of them all. Midis are perfect for every look you’re trying to capture. For a little inspiration (at least you can dream about getting away from layers of heavy clothes and more denim than you usually wear), here are six midi skirt styles to wear now.

A floral print channels the sun, and depending on the color and size of the blossoms, can be appropriate for varying occasions. A black midi with bright flowers or a flowing vibrant hued skirt can be casual when paired with a basic top or sweater, while a cream or structured midi presents a poised and classic appearance. And if floral isn’t your thing, then opt for a solid midi skirt. They’ll go with everything in your wardrobe thanks to their versatility (you could start calling them your new denim).

Midi skirts are great!I always wear them in summer, when it’s too hot for jeans and trousers. I usually match them with black crop tops and wedges, so I can trick people into thinking that I am tall and slim lol
