Hi everyone,
We all know how important it is to stay extra hydrated during the summer. The sun dries us out and can damage our skin, so it is crucial to replenish our bodies as much as possible! I’ve noticed after making a habit to drink nutritious drinks like my Lemon Detox or Green Juice that I feel more energized and my skin looks brighter.
That’s why today I am sharing my five favorite beautifying drinks that will help you stay healthy and look radiant all summer long!

1. Lemon Detox.
In my latest video update I mentioned this Lemon Detox as one of the reasons I’ve been feeling so great lately. The ingredients in this juice help cleanse your system and aid digestion, clearing out the toxins and making you feel refreshed. Also, the Vitamin C in lemon helps skin stay looking young.
Try this detox by mixing:
+ 1 c. hot water
+ 3-4 dices ginger root
+ ½ lemon
+ a dash of cayenne pepper

2. My Green Juice.
Another personal fave of mine is my very own recipe for Green Juice. Getting your recommended greens will help your skin by providing necessary vitamins such as A, C, and K, as well as antioxidants. Kale is also rich in beta carotene, which helps give you that glow. Bonus: a serving of this powerful drink is less than 100 calories.
Ingredients:
+ 2 c. spinach
+ 1. c. kale
+ 1 cucumber
+ 2 stalks celery

3. Antioxidant Smoothie.
Antioxidants are necessary to maintain a healthy immune system, but they also protect your skin. According to Discovery Health, they help prevent and repair damage to the skin. To load up on antioxidants, berries are the way to go. Try this mixed-berry recipe from Whole Living to get your fill of them.
Ingredients:
+ 2 c. mixed berries
+ 1 c. unsweetened pomegranate juice
+ 1 c. water

4. Naturally Flavored Water.
The easiest way to stay hydrated is, of course, to drink water. Adding fruit will allow you to choose your flavor. Your skin needs to stay hydrated all day to prevent dryness and damage, so make yourself a pitcher of this fruit and herb infused water from The Yummy Life to reap the benefits of beautifully refreshed skin!
Ingredients:
+ fresh fruits of your choice, such as berries, melons, or citrus
+ filtered water
+ herbs (optional)

5. Mint and Lime Iced Green Tea
.
Green tea works wonders because of its antioxidants which fight against aging. Give your green tea regimen a refreshing twist by enjoying it iced with mint and lime for a rejuvenating mix. This recipe from One Ordinary Day shows you how simple it can be.
To make a pitcher:
+ 8 c. water
+ 8 green tea bags
+ 1 bunch fresh mint
+ 1 c. sugar
+ ½ c. lime juice
I hope you enjoy these recipes! They are all easy to customize, so feel free to experiment!
Have you tried one of these super-drinks before? Which one sounds best to you?
